AI Diagnostic Systems Ltd is committed to protecting personal data and following UK data protection law. This page is a plain-English summary for helpmypc.ai users and repair partners.
This is not a legal certificate or a promise that every future use case is automatically covered. It explains the practical approach we take while the service is in beta and early partner rollout activity is ongoing.

Our approach to data protection
- Collect only the data needed to provide and improve the service
- Use diagnostic data to help users understand computer issues
- Use repair lead data only for admin review, repair routing and support records
- Limit access to authorised systems, staff and approved partner accounts
- Tell users not to send passwords, recovery keys, bank details or private documents
How data is used on helpmypc.ai
helpmypc.ai processes user data to:
- Provide AI-powered computer diagnostics
- Understand and respond to technical issues submitted by users
- Store relevant device and issue history to improve future support
- Operate My PC Health where a user has paired a Windows PC
- Facilitate repair escalation where the user asks for or agrees to repair contact
- Record repair contact consent or refusal choices for audit and support purposes
- Check customer postcode or area against approved partner service areas
- Allow approved partners to accept, decline and complete assigned repair leads
Repair lead records and partner sharing
A repair lead may contain the issue summary, postcode or area, contact details provided by the user, relevant diagnostic notes, repair status, partner assignment and outcome notes. Where a customer agrees to repair contact, necessary details may be shared with Help Computer Centre or an approved local repair partner.
Saying no to repair contact means helpmypc.ai will not pass the repair contact request on for partner contact. We may still retain support, audit or security records where needed.
Lawful basis
The lawful basis may depend on the feature and context. In practical terms, we may rely on:
- Service delivery or contract where data is needed to provide the account, chat, My PC Health or partner portal service
- Legitimate interests for security, service improvement, diagnostic quality, repair lead administration and audit records
- Consent or clear customer agreement where a user is asked whether they are happy for a repair partner to contact them
- Legal obligations where records must be kept for legal, tax, accounting or regulatory reasons
This wording is intended to be practical and transparent; it should be reviewed before wider commercial rollout.
